Your Black Cat re-design looks really cool. How'd you come up with it?

Thanks! I knew I wanted her to look more modern, something akin to Ann Hathaway or Scarlet Johansson’s recent catsuits. My first designs were a little plain, so when I revisited it, I wanted her to show a little more skin to be truer to her original design. Betty Felon recommended looking at Emma Peel/Kate Bishop’s Emma Peel inspired wardrobe and it all fell into place from there. She’s so smart. Also, I really like the idea of her red hair being a wig so her secret isn’t so obvious. Got that from Batgirl.

With Black Kitten, I tried to approach his costume from the perspective of what I’d want if I were a 13 year old boy. I’d want to look like a badass like Batman Beyond or Black Panther or somebody, so I closed up the mask and gave them both Batman eyes to make it a little more intimidating/ninja-like, but I kept the belt and the red trunks because they’re awesome and more unique. Also I figure that Kitten’s less his codename as it is just Cat’s nickname for him, which he hates. He can just go by Kit, like Kato.

Otherwise the mood and feeling I’m going for is just a mixture of everything that I think is cool right now thrown into one comic. I really wanna revamp the villains and do some stories.
